Bumitama Agri H1 net profit up 47.8% at 1.27 trillion rupiah on higher revenue
An interim cash dividend of S$0.0363 per share was declared for the six months
[SINGAPORE] Indonesian palm oil producer Bumitama Agri on Tuesday (Aug 12) posted a 47.8 per cent rise in net profit to 1.27 trillion rupiah (S$100.2 million) for its first half ended Jun 30, 2025, up from 856.8 billion rupiah in H1 2024.
This translated to an earnings per share of 730 rupiah, compared with 494 rupiah previously.
The bottom line improvements were attributed mainly to revenue growth, as a result of higher average selling prices of palm oil products.
For the half-year, the group’s revenue climbed 28.2 per cent to 9.74 trillion rupiah, from 7.6 trillion rupiah in the year-ago period, on higher contributions across its product segments.
Revenue from the crude palm oil segment rose 20.7 per cent to 8.32 trillion rupiah, from 6.90 trillion rupiah. This came despite sales volume declining marginally by 0.7 per cent, as average sales prices rose 21.6 per cent.
Revenue from the palm kernel segment surged 101.6 per cent to 1.42 trillion rupiah from 703.4 billion rupiah, on a 4.8 per cent growth in sales volume and a 92.4 per cent increase in average sales prices.

The group has declared a interim cash dividend of S$0.0363 per share for the six months, against a S$0.012 interim cash dividend in the previous corresponding period.
The dividend will be paid on Aug 28 after its Aug 22 books closure.
The company said crude palm oil prices are expected to remain volatile and could potentially trend downward, due to the shifting geopolitical landscape, US tariffs, weather fluctuations and supply and demand dynamics in the global vegetable oil market.
However, it highlighted that the long-term fundamentals of the palm oil industry are expected to remain robust.
“The company will continue to focus on business continuity, a proactive replanting programme, efficiency enhancement through innovation, agricultural best practices, and effective cost management,” Bumitama Agri said.
Shares of the group ended Monday 2.4 per cent or S$0.02 higher at S$0.84.
