Buying up again, selling low, buyback activity strong

THE buying rose for the second straight week while the selling among directors remained low based on filings on the Singapore Exchange from July 6 to 10. A total of 25 companies recorded 60 purchases worth S$6.7 million versus three firms with four disposals worth S$0.768 million.
The buy figures were up from the previous week's 22 companies, 47 purchases and S$2.49 million.
On the negative side, the number of firms and trades were slightly up from the previous week's two companies and three disposals while the sell value was sharply up from the previous week's disposals worth S$0.23 million.
