Buying among directors falls, selling very low
Buyback activity surges; most purchases follow results announcements by companies
BUYING among directors fell while selling remained very low based on filings on Singapore Exchange (SGX) during the holiday-shortened week of Aug 3-6. A total of 13 companies recorded 23 purchases worth S$2 million versus one firm with one disposal worth S$182,000.
The buy figures were sharply down from the previous week's five-day totals of 19 companies, 30 purchases and S$19.84 million.
The selling, on the other hand, was consistent with the previous week's zero activity.
