Buying by directors stays high for 4th week

THE buying was high for the fourth straight week while the selling among directors fell based on filings on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) in the third week of June. A total of 25 companies recorded 54 purchases worth S$9.66 million versus three firms with three disposals worth S$0.51 million. The number of companies and trades on the buying side were slightly down from the previous week's 26 firms and 61 purchases. The buy value, however, was sharply up from the previous week's acquisitions worth S$5.53 million. On the selling side, the number of companies was unchanged while the number of trades and value were down from the previous week's five disposals worth S$0.97 million.

Meanwhile, the buyback activity rebounded with 18 companies that posted 62 repurchases worth S$56.7 million. The number of firms and trades were up from the previous week's 15 companies and 46 transactions. The value, on the other hand, was slightly down from the previous week's buybacks wor…
