CAAS annual surplus rises 15% to $131.15m

THE Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore's (CAAS) surplus for the year ended March 31, 2013 rose 15 per cent year-on-year to $131.15 million, boosted by higher income from air navigation service charges, aviation levy and ground rent.
After contributions of $22.8 million to a government consolidated fund, comprehensive income of the aviation regulator worked out to $108.34 million, up 13 per cent from $95.9 million in the previous financial year.
