ANALYSTS remained positive on Singtel as the telco looks set to see a boost to its average revenue per user on the back of 5G take-up and the gradual lifting of travel curbs.

The analysts' reports on Thursday and Friday come after the company posted a net profit of S$445 million in a business update for the first quarter ended June 30, reversing a loss of S$20 million from a year ago.

RHB analysts noted that Singtel's Singapore mobile segment is hitting an inflection point, as it saw the first year-on-year revenue growth of 2 per cent in three years, supported by the stronger adoption of 5G services.
