China: Shanghai stocks up 0.14% in opening trade
[SHANGHAI] Shanghai stocks were up 0.14 per cent in early trade on Tuesday as investor sentiment improved after the securities regulator promised to support the market for years, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 5.46 points to 3,999.13.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.16 per cent, or 3.65 points, to 2,331.14.
