China: Shanghai stocks close higher on China data

[HONG KONG] Shanghai stocks closed higher Monday after price data raised hopes for China's economy stabilising, while Hong Kong shares slipped.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.71 per cent, or 21.40 points, to 3,025.68, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 1.04 per cent, or 20.40 points, to 1,982.66.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.1 per cent, or 30.82 points, to 22,463.94.
