[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were lower in morning trade on Monday as imminent stock offers sparked worries of tighter liquidity, dealers said.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.76 per cent, or 25.11 points, to 3,260.30.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slid 0.49 per cent, or 7.05 points, to 1,435.79.
