China: Shares open mixed

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were mixed in Monday morning trading as investors chased heavyweight blue-chips and shunned small firms, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.53 per cent, or 24.82 points, to 4,682.42.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 1.59 per cent, or 43.55 points, to 2,697.37.
