China: Shares slightly higher in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were slightly higher on Tuesday morning, tracking overnight gains in US stocks, on hopes for further domestic monetary easing, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.20 per cent, or 6.67 points, to 3,389.85.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.02 per cent, or 0.33 points, to 1,548.35.
