China: Shares up slightly in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were slightly higher on Wednesday morning, the first trading day after a week-long holiday, as the market awaited the release of preliminary manufacturing data for February, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.10 per cent, or 3.19 points, to 3,250.10.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.08 per cent, or 1.31 points, to 1,612.04.
