China: Stocks open lower on profit-taking

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares opened slightly lower on Wednesday morning, falling for a second day, as investors took profits after a recent rally.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.27 per cent, or 8.19 points, to 2,991.17.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.33 per cent, or 6.22 points, to 1,874.56.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index dipped 0.18 per cent, or 37.35 points, to 20,629.40 shortly after opening.
