Europe: Equities rally at open
EUROPE’S main stock markets jumped on Tuesday (Nov 1) as investors eyed more strong gains in Asia, despite an overnight pullback on Wall Street.
In initial deals, London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index rallied 1.3 per cent to 7,186.55 points, compared with the close on Monday.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 soared 1.6 per cent to 6,364.51 points and Frankfurt’s DAX index won 1.0 per cent to 13,383.98. AFP
