Europe: Markets mixed at open
EUROPEAN stock markets wobbled in early trades on Wednesday (Aug 17) as investors digested fresh economic and corporate data.
London’s FTSE 100 was up almost 0.1 per cent at 7,541.33 points despite official figures showing inflation surging to 10.1 per cent last month, a fresh 40-year high.
The Paris CAC 40 was marginally higher at 6,596.78 points while the Frankfurt DAX was flat at 13,908.09 points. AFP
