Europe: Markets start New Year higher
EUROPEAN stocks opened higher on Monday (Jan 2) to start the New Year but most global markets were closed for the holiday.
The Paris CAC 40 jumped by 0.8 per cent to 6,525.73 points while the Frankfurt DAX gained 0.6 per cent to 14,001.91.
