Europe: Shares drop at open

[LONDON] Europe's stock markets slid at the open on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3 per cent at 7,272.78 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 lost 0.1 per cent to 12,525.36 points and the CAC 40 in Paris also dipped about 0.1 per cent to 5,220.89 points compared with the closing levels on Thursday.
