Europe: Stock markets climb at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rose solidly at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.4 per cent to 7,216.26 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index won 0.8 per cent to 11,257.80 points and the Paris CAC 40 advanced 0.9 per cent to 5,117.79.
