EUROPEAN stock markets climbed at the open Tuesday following gains in Tokyo.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index rose 0.2 per cent to 7,479.18 points, as official data showed UK unemployment easing to a near five-decade low.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index gained 0.8 per cent to 14,069.79 points and the Paris CAC 40 was up 0.7 per cent to 6,390.12.
