EUROPE'S main stock markets retreated at the start of trading on Tuesday (Apr 19) following a long Easter weekend.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index lost 0.1 per cent to 7,610.15 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index slid 0.7 per cent to 14,067.08 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.8 per cent to 6,533.81. AFP
