Europe: Stock markets drop at open
[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Tuesday, extending the previous day's losses, as investors seek shelter from tumbling commodity prices and a strong dollar.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.4 per cent to 6,280.07 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 slid 0.3 per cent to 11,064.78 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.5 per cent compared with Monday's close to open at 4,863.81.
