Europe: Stock markets mainly dip at open
EUROPE’S main stock markets mostly eased at the open on Thursday (Aug 18) following overnight losses in Tokyo and on Wall Street.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index fell 0.2 per cent to 7,497.88 points.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index dropped 0.1 per cent to 6,520.45 points, while Frankfurt’s DAX edged up 0.1 per cent to 13,640.88. AFP
