Europe: Stock markets mostly rise at open

EUROZONE stock markets climbed at the open on Tuesday (Oct 25) as traders reacted to earnings, while London and the pound steadied awaiting an address from Britain’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index opened flat at 7,012.85 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index gained 0.4 per cent to 12,987.46 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.9 per cent to 6,183.35. AFP
