Europe: Stock markets open lower

[LONDON] European stock markets mostly fell at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.5 per cent at 7,415.70 points.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index shed 0.3 per cent to 6,078.21 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 was flat at 13,746.72 points.
