Europe: Stock markets rise at open

EUROZONE stock markets rose in opening deals on Thursday (Apr 21) but London lapsed into the red, as traders tracked a mixed performance in Asia.
Frankfurt's benchmark DAX index won 0.2 per cent to 14,386.25 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.4 per cent to 6,653.78.
On the downside, London's FTSE 100 lost 0.4 per cent to 7,600.55 compared with Wednesday's closing level.
Europe's equities had risen Wednesday as investors digested corporate earnings and developments in the Ukraine conflict. AFP
