Europe: Stock markets rise at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.2 per cent at 7,191.43 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index added 0.3 per cent to 11,338.74 points and the Paris CAC 40 won almost 0.2 per cent to stand at 5,168.59, compared with Tuesday's closing levels.
