Europe: Stock markets slide at open

[LONDON] European stock markets slid at the start of trading on Monday following a slump across Asia on trade war tensions.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.7 per cent to 7,580.72 points compared with Friday's closing level.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 declined 1.3 per cent to 12,147.94 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 1.1 per cent to 5,264.40.
