[LONDON] European stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Tuesday (Apr 5) after Tokyo closed higher and as oil prices climbed more than 1 per cent.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index opened flat at 7,559.47 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index dipped 0.1 per cent to 14,504.85 points and the Paris CAC 40 was virtually unchanged at 6,730.30. AFP
