Europe: Stock markets steady at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dipping 0.1 per cent to 7,231.69 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 was flat at 11,976.60 points and the Paris CAC 40 was unchanged at 5,318.21, compared with Tuesday's closing levels.
