Europe: Stocks climb at open after mixed Asia showing

[LONDON] European stock markets climbed at the open Friday following a mixed end to the week in Asia.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index rose 0.4 per cent to 7,284.42 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index gained 0.2 per cent to 16,259.02 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.5 per cent to 7,174.27.
