Europe: Stocks climb at open, London dips

    [London] Major eurozone stock markets advanced in opening deals on Thursday (Apr 7) but London slid as investors digested Asian losses.

    Frankfurt's benchmark DAX index won 0.3 per cent to 14,197.77 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.6 per cent to 6,538.17.

    London's FTSE 100 slid 0.2 per cent to 7,575.96 compared with the closing level on Wednesday. AFP
