Europe: Stocks climb at open
[LONDON] Europe's stock markets rose at the start of trading on Wednesday, rebounding somewhat after diving the previous day, despite more heavy losses in China.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of leading blue-chip companies added 0.24 per cent to 6,447.61 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.31 per cent to 10,710.29 and the CAC 40 in Paris edged up 0.16 per cent to 4,611.86 compared with Monday's close.
