Europe: Stocks dip at open
EUROPEAN stock markets dropped at the open on Tuesday (Nov 8) after a mixed Asian showing, as investors looked to key midterm elections in the United States.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index slid 0.5 per cent to 7,257.48 points, compared with the closing level on Monday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index lost 0.1 per cent to 13,516.60 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 0.5 per cent to 6,382.61. AFP
