Europe: Stocks edge up at open, before US jobs data

    [LONDON] European stock markets nudged higher at the start of trading on Friday (Apr 1), as investors awaited US jobs data for an update on the world's biggest economy, faced with soaring global inflation.

    London's benchmark FTSE 100 index rose 0.1 per cent to 7,520.02 points.

    In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index gained 0.1 per cent to 14,431.77 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.1 per cent to 6,663.00. AFP
