Europe: Stocks extend gains at open

[LONDON] European stock markets climbed at the open on Wednesday, building on the previous session's strong gains.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.3 per cent to 7,259.53 points compared with the close on Tuesday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.2 per cent to 12,018.45 points and the Paris CAC 40 advanced 0.1 per cent to 5,348.34.
