Europe: Stocks fall at open; London edges higher

[LONDON] Major eurozone stock markets retreated at the open on Wednesday (30 Mar), while London nudged higher, following a mixed performance in Asia.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.1 per cent to 7,540.87 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index dropped 0.7 per cent to 14,716.17 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.6 per cent to 6,752.50. AFP
