[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Tuesday awaiting regional economic data including British inflation numbers - and as Asian losses offset fresh record-highs on Wall Street.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.3 per cent compared with the close on Monday to open at 6,678.25 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 slipped 0.2 per cent to 10,038.95 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.3 per cent to 4,345.40.
