Europe: Stocks mostly rise at open
EUROPEAN stock markets mostly rose at the open on Thursday (Aug 11), with sentiment boosted by US inflation slowing from a 40-year high.
Frankfurt's DAX index climbed 0.2 per cent to 13,728.70 points and the Paris CAC 40 jumped 0.5 per cent to 6,558.05.
London's FTSE 100 index was flat at 7,504.04 points. AFP
