Europe: Stocks open lower

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trade on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.20 per cent to 6,696.80 points.
In Frankfurt the DAX 30 dropped 0.68 per cent to 10,910.01 points and the CAC 40 in Paris shed 0.77 per cent to 4,778.21 compared with the closing levels on Monday.
European equities sank heavily Monday, with Athens plunging on fears of a Greek euro exit after talks with creditors collapsed over the weekend.
