[LONDON] European stocks opened mixed on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve gave a tepid inflation outlook, fuelling speculation it will hold off on further rate hikes this year.
London's FTSE 100 index and Frankfurt's DAX 30 both dropped around 0.2 per cent in early trading, while the CAC 40 index in Paris added 0.3 per cent.
