Europe: Stocks rebound at open
EUROPEAN stock markets rebounded at the open on Monday (Aug 8) following pre-weekend falls as traders assess the pace of interest rate hikes aimed at cooling soaring inflation.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.7 per cent to 7,489.13 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index jumped 1.0 per cent to 13,703.09 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.7 per cent to 6,518.72. AFP
