Europe: Stocks rise at open

    [LONDON] European stock markets rose at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index adding 0.2 per cent to 6,831.40 points.

    In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index won 0.9 per cent to 11,234.05 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.5 per cent to 4,895.59.
