    EUROPEAN stocks sank on Monday (Apr 25) after heavy Asian losses as concerns over rising US interest rates overshadowed the re-election of French President Emmanuel Macron.

    In initial trade, the French capital's benchmark CAC 40 index lost 2.0 per cent to 6,450.11 and Frankfurt's DAX lost 1.9 per cent to 13,874.29 points.

    Outside the eurozone, London's FTSE 100 shed 1.7 per cent to 7,394.91, compared with the closing level on Friday. AFP
