    EUROPEAN stocks tumbled at the open on Monday (Sep 5), after Russia halted gas deliveries to Germany via a key pipeline, sending the euro plunging to a 20-year US dollar low.

    Frankfurt’s benchmark DAX index dived 2.9 per cent, the Paris CAC 40 shed 2.1 per cent and London’s FTSE 100 dropped 0.9 per cent. AFP
