Europe: Stocks steady at open

    [London] European stock markets steadied at the open on Friday (Mar 18) after some wild swings the past week as traders react to developments surrounding the Ukraine war.

    London's benchmark FTSE 100 opened flat at 7,386.47 points.

    In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index dipped 0.1 per cent to 14,371.29 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.2 per cent to 6,600.41. AFP
