[LONDON] European stock markets stabilised at the start of trading on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.2 per cent at 6,970.02 points.
In Paris, the CAC 40 index gained 0.1 per cent to 4,769.84 points compared to Friday's close, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 nudged marginally lower to 11,198.42.
