EUROPEAN stock markets steadied at the open on Tuesday (Sep 13) with all eyes on the latest US inflation print.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index dipped 0.1 per cent to 7,464.30 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index rose 0.1 per cent to 13,409.04 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.2 per cent to 6,347.19.
Markets are sitting tight before an update on US inflation numbers due Tuesday that should provide clues on the size of the Federal Reserve’s next interest rate hikes aimed at cooling runaway prices. AFP
