EUROPEAN stock markets slumped at the start of trading on Thursday (May 12) following sharp overnight falls in Asia and on Wall Street owing to high inflation concerns.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index shed 1.9 per cent to 7,205.30 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index slid 2.2 per cent to 13,521.04 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 2.4 per cent to 6,122.06. AFP
