European stock markets fall at open

    [LONDON] European stock markets dropped at the open on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.5 per cent to 7,384.03 points.

    In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 lost 0.4 per cent to 12,226.88 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.4 per cent to 5,499.82 compared with closing levels on Monday.
