[LONDON] European stock markets fell at the start of trading on Friday in a downbeat end to the week, with London's FTSE 100 index losing 0.6 per cent to 6,069.68 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's benchmark DAX 30 index slid 0.7 per cent to 9,794.83 points and the Paris CAC 40 also shed about 0.7 per cent compared with Thursday's closing level to 4,264.77.
